

Tamika was the beloved daughter of Gloria Daniel Brooks and Edward Brooks. She was known for her kindness, her loving heart, and her deep love for children. Tamika possessed a rare gift of making everyone feel welcome—she truly believed that everyone was a friend. Her compassion, warmth, and generosity touched all who knew her, and her infectious smile had a way of brightening everyone’s day.
A very creative and artistic soul, Tamika loved expressing herself through makeup artistry and crafting handmade glasses. Her creativity reflected her vibrant personality and attention to detail. She was also deeply committed to her education and was actively working toward earning a degree in the medical field, driven by her desire to help and care for others.
Family and faith were at the center of Tamika’s life. She held a deep love for her family and was firmly grounded in her faith and community. Tamika was always willing to offer support, encouragement, and love, living her life with purpose, compassion, and an open heart.
Tamika is survived by her daughters, Tamia Brooks-Darden and Gloria Brooks-Darden; her mother, Gloria Daniel Brooks; and her siblings, Pearlie M. Daniel, Marcell L. Daniel, Ashley Edmond, Willie Edmond, and Rufus Edmond. She is also lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, including Zhavar Daniel, Shabria Daniel, Elijah Daniel, and many others.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Shauntia Brooks-Dobbs; her grandmother, Pearlie Williams; and her sister, Maybelle Hawkins.
Tamika Renel Brooks will be remembered for her loving spirit, unwavering kindness, creativity, and the joy she brought into the lives of so many. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
