On September 9, 2025, Vicki Wright of Glendale, Arizona, loving wife of Doug Wright, proud mother to Kristin Fisher of Peoria, Arizona and Aaron Wright of Juneau, Alaska, adoring grandmother to Taryn and Morgan Wright of Juneau and Isaac and Emerson Fisher of Peoria, and grateful mother-in-law to Eric Fisher and Ruth Nelson Wright went home to be with her savior, Jesus Christ.
Vicki is survived by all members of her family mentioned above, her mother Loraine Littlefield, sister Eva, and brother Kyle. She was heartbroken some time back when her dear stepfather, Seth Littlefield, who she adored, preceded her in death.
Vicki lived her life joyfully and gratefully, loving her family beyond description and befriending everyone she knew. The bright pink hair that she colored for many years spoke to her 60-mile walk to raise money for breast cancer research, but also of the upbeat and encouraging attitude she constantly displayed despite being in constant pain from a crushed vertebrae and various other maladies.
Vicki loved her Lord. She and Doug were faithful to good Christian churches throughout their marriage and for the last 20 years had made Covenant of Grace Church, in Phoenix, Arizona, their home. The congregation of CoG was their second family, founding pastors Leonard and Sharon Griffin, and more recently pastors Emilio and Mary Parada among their closest friends. Vicki delighted in years of working with food distribution - helping manage the CoG Food Pantry, singing with the worship team, helping with lyrics projection on Sunday mornings, and overseeing the church Gift Shop. Her constant pain and discomfort slowed her down but never stopped her.
Vicki’s death was totally unexpected. The day prior she and Doug had the great blessing of being with Isaac and Emerson at their school for a “Grandparents’ Chapel”. The morning of September 9th, Vicki walked Doug to the door with, “I love you” and a kiss as she did every day. It appears that Vicki was walking to her car to drive to a doctor's appointment when she collapsed and was found by a neighbor. The blessings of this wonderful life, 49 years of incredible marriage, uncountable beautiful memories and experiences, loving family and great friends make the blessings of Vicki’s life far more than any pain, suffering, bereavement or sorrow. We are grateful to God for this wonderful life and rejoice in her presence with Jesus Christ for eternity.
With unending love, Doug, Kristin and Aaron.
