

78 of Glendale, AZ passed away on April 13, 2012. Victor entered the USAF in 1951 after finishing the eleventh grade. Upon completion of basic training, he attended automotive training at Oklahoma A&M Tech and started what was to last over fifty years. He did general automotive repair through most of the ten years he spent in the service. In 1959 He attended a wheel alignment and axle correction school and that was the beginning of his specializing in wheel alignment and in 1960, air conditioning. He left the service in Phoenix and did only A/C and alignment. In 1965, he was asked to start teaching other mechanics A/C. This lead to his teaching for Mark IV, Remac Corp, Frigaking, Climatic Air, and to becoming a professor in the Jr College system teaching alignment and A/C. The companies mentioned were after market A/C companies selling A/C units and parts to repair them. He did this while still working as a mechanic through 1973. In 1974 he started Vic Norcross Automotive Specialist and remained in business until 1989. Victor continued to teach in the college until 1985. He did some freelance teaching although most of the companies he worked with have gone out of business. In 1989, he was asked to join Moog Automotive, St. Louis, MO., and became a tech rep in the southwest area. He sold the business and started work in July 1989 and left the company in 1997. His duties with them were public relations, instructing suspension, A/C, and latter on, brakes. His position was terminated. Victor worked for Atsco Remanufacturing for 15 months as a Training Manager and that job was terminated. He retired in Jan 1999 for about 10 days and then went to work for Cool Air & Electric. He remanufactured A/C compressors and rotating electrical. He was a technical advisor, quality control manager. He left CAE in May of 2000 to open RMACC HOSE CO. in May of 2000. RMACC has now been in business for 12 years and doing well. Victor is preceeded in death by his daughter Victoria Norcross and grandchild Brian Glaspy, brothers Arthur Peterson and Paul Peterson. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Beverly. Daughter, Gay Canfield, grandchildren: Richard Adamicki, Matthew Fouch, Donald Fouch, Shawn Glaspy, Crystal Sparks, Lucas Primozich and 5 great grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Goodman and Paula Mae Tennies and one brother Lynn Peterson. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at West Resthaven Funeral Home 6450 W. Northern Ave, Glendale AZ 85301 from 12:30-1pm with a service starting at 1pm.
