
Alicia passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, in Laguna Hills, California with her family by her side. Born to Simon and Maclovia Rios in Mexico on June 24, 1917, she moved with her parents to Douglas, Arizona in 1919 and then the Los Angeles area in 1927. She married Dr. Lloyd Delgado in 1941. They had four children; Carmen, Roberto, Covie and Yolanda. Alicia was widowed in 1957. Very active with St. Brendan’s Parish on Van Ness, she put God and family first in her life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family wishes to thank in advance all those who have offered their support and kind prayers during this difficult time. A “Celebration of Life” of the most loving mother who always said, “Keep your spirits up” will be held at 532 So. Van Ness Ave., Los Angeles, 90020, on Friday, March 11th, following the morning Mass and Cemetery Service. Alicia is survived by her 4 children, Carmen (Gene), Roberto, Covie (Doug), Yolanda (Tom); 5 grandchildren, Camille (Mitch), Cecilia, Tara, Aaron (Lucy), and Sophia; 7 great- grandchildren, Griffin, Crosby, Anais, Cristian, Gavin, Ethan and Emily. “Mama’ always gave us strength, humor and eternal love and kindness throughout her life. We will cherish her memory forever.”
