****QUE DESCANSES SIN MALESTAR. CAMINANDO & BAILANO COMO TE RECORDAMOS.****
Born to Maxilliano Gonzalez Ojeda & Manuela Alvarez Sosa, she was the eighth of nine brothers & sisters & the last one to pass away. She studied, went to college, graduated & become a teacher, working for 16 years as a teacher in Merida, Yucatan.
She married our father Ernesto G Solis Sr. on September 19, 1952; out of the marriage we were born: Ernesto G, Jose I, Elsie F, David E, and Erik E Solis.
We arrived here in the United States in 1968, leaving her home country that she dearly loved & that she was never able to part from her heart. Our mother worked as a seamstress then later in a electronics company.
She retired; my parents were blessed by our Lord to have the opportunity to buy a house in Merida, Yucatan. By the graces of God she was given her dream, to return and live in her beloved country again. She traveled often back and forth from Merida. She would spend about 5 months here and the rest of the time there.
Our Lord blessed her with many years of good health, after our father died. At the age of 86, when her body physically started to get tired she got ill. She returned to the US with us, her family. Whenever she got the opportunity to travel with a family member back to Merida, you didn't have to tell her twice.
Our Mother was a strong & independent woman. Until the day she died, which took us all by surprise.
She was smart & sharp with her memory, she monitored all her medication on her own till the end.
She raised us to love & know God & our Catholic Church. We all have received our sacraments, because of her. There are no words of gratitude we can say to her, for teaching & guiding us in our Faith.
We have Great memories of our mother in our hearts. It was truly a gift that our Lord has bestowed on us, for all these years.
May our Lord Jesus Christ, give her the gift of eternal life with him. Amen
Survived by 5 children, 20 grandchildren & 37 great grandchildren.
****MAY YOU REST WITHOUT ILLNESS, DANCING & WALKING LIKE WE REMEMBER YOU****
