Michael Mul Deo Raj

Pastor Michael Raj was born and raised in Savusavu, Fiji Island on March 20, 1959 to Sukh Raj and Ram Dulari. He came to know the Lord in 1979. He graduated in South Pacific Bible College in Suva Fiji Island in December 1983 and later joined Youth with A Mission (YWAM) in 1984 in Honolulu Hawaii. He then went on to travel all over the US and Asia to share the word of God. In 1985 he went to the Philippines and met his wife, Tess. In 1986 they got married and later had 4 children. He was ordained with the Philippine Assembly of God in 1988. They pioneered a church and held a mission in different parts of the Philippines. God brought them to California in October 2007 to serve at Bethel Assembly of God and later in West Valley Christian Center Glendale Outreach.

Pastor Michael was a loving husband and father to his children. Michael was blessed with four children, three daughters, Che-che, Jenny, Micaela, and one son, Mic-mic. Another blessing for Pastor Michael was the gift of a grandchild, Isabella.

He loved traveling and visiting with his friends. He would travel to San Jose, Seattle, North Dakota, and Hawaii even when his health started to worsen. He loved playing guitar and singing songs. People would gather in his living room and play music and sing songs together. He was caring, giving, and always offered a helping hand. He touched so many lives through his ministry and created life-long friendships and many cherished memories everywhere. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember him as Pastor Raj.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Teresita Raj and his children, Christine Veronica Raj, Jennifer Davis (Jacob Davis), Michael Lee Raj (Jany Raj), Christine Micaela Raj, his grandchild Isabella Davis, his brother Muni Deo and sister Dhan Raji.

He is preceded in death by his parents Sukh Raj, Ram Dulari and his older brother Hari Deo Raj.
