Missing Margaret.  My second Christmas season without her.  She was my best friend since 4th grade and the wife of my first cousin Jim.   Margaret sent me many signs the first year to let me know she was okay and in God's arms.   She was an angel who always made me laugh.   I hope to see her again someday.   

I felt so lucky to know and have Margaret as a colleague in the Fashion Design department. She was a wonderful person and someone to count on through the ups and downs. Margaret was well respected and loved by colleagues and students. I for one will miss her smile.

I am sincerely saddened to hear of Margaret's passing. Such a sweet and gentle spirit. I will always appreciate God's gift of her kindness and friendship. Hers was the smile that brightened the atmosphere around FIT... such a pleasure to be in her presence. I will miss her but I am fortunate to have known her and heaven is now that much more beautiful.

I was very lucky to have Margaret as my mentor at FIT. She was amazing, personally and professionally, always kind, calm and reassuring.She was loved and respected by faculty and students alike. I will miss her greatly and will keep her in my prayers.

Margaret was a lovely, kind, giving and wonderful person. Her goodness and beauty emanated from her inside and out. Her sweet and smiling face will be missed but the memory of her will stay with all of us at FIT. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

I am saddened to hear of Margaret's  passing from this life on to God. Know the pain you have in your heart and soul now speaks to your deep love for her.  I went to St. Matthias School with Margaret and so am the same age.

I'm really sad to hear this news .I worked with Proffesor holtz during the class as a tech ,it was wonderful to learned new techniques with her.
 She was a great person to me .

Very sorry to hear of Margaret's passing. I know she was on medical leave and was hoping she would recover and return. I will miss her smiling face in the hallways and her kind words. This is a sad day for FIT. May God bless her and keep her and may she rest in peace.

Memories of Margaret are sitting in front of her apartment building when we were both  very young and admiring her shoe box rooms which she wallpapered, decorated and built furniture out of paper.  Even then she was a true artist.

Dear Jim and family,
Margaret was such a wonderful person. She was a good colleague, pleasant, cooperative, and sharing. Margaret was always thoughtful, and never had an unkind word to say about anybody or anything. Attributes we find in few and far between.
Her students too, repeatedly commented how she was caring, patient, helpful and giving of her time. She encouraged them. She made sure each of them understood. Her influence will carry them far.
And the two of you together were an amazing couple. May those memories bring you, not only comfort, but satisfaction and joy. 
She will be missed. We can best honor her memory by following her example as a good human being.

Along with my sisters, I knew Margaret since I was a young child. We grew up on the same block and went to the same grammar school. She was kind, funny, smart and a redheaded ball of energy. Condolences and prayers to her family.

Margaret was my best friend from kindergarten through high school.  She was a kind and beautiful person.  I will miss her for the rest of my life.  My prayers are with her husband, sister and nieces and nephews.

MARGARET is my mentor when I just join FIT, she was so generous and kind ,helping me all the time , I will miss her tremendously , She will have a special place in my heart forever !

Margaret was an ideal colleague at FIT. Her talent, calm presence and collegiality will be missed greatly by all who knew her in Fashion Design. We will remember her for many years.

She was a beautiful person inside and out. I had a ball dancing with her for so many years.

Those we hold closest to our hearts never truly leave us. They remain in our memories through the warmheartedness they shared and the magnanimity they brought into our lives. Margaret was just such a person and her memory will live on in the Fashion Design department.  It was an honor to have known and to have worked with such a wonderful person.

Margaret was one of the finest, kindest women I have ever met, and a wonderful educator. She will be missed greatly in the Fashion Design-Apparel Department at FIT...but Margaret will never be forgotten.

Margaret was well-loved in Precollege Programs. She enjoyed the children and they (and we) loved working with her. Here are some words from one of her Precollege students: "She is an amazing teacher. She is kind, considerate and amazing at sewing. She is clear when doing demonstrations making easier for me to understand what I need to do in the class. She is very good at adapting to all the problems with the machinery and patient with the countless questions the students have. If I where to take another class at FIT, I would hope the professor would be Professor Holt!" Rest in peace.

To Margarets family I am so sorry for your loss and will miss her very much. We shared an office for the past 5 years I have to say Margaret was one of the nicest people I know and will be missed by everyone daily. I am sure she is up in heaven because if anyone deserves to be there she is,please  accept my heartfelt sympathy for your loss.

It was my honor and pleasure to have been Margaret's colleague at FIT, these past few years. Her prescience in the depr will be missed.

So immensely sorry for your loss... Margaret was one of the kindest persons I have ever met. I will truly miss seeing her here at FIT. My heartfelt condolences...

I was totally shocked when I heard the news of Margaret's passing at a relatively young age. I'm sure that you and her planned to spend your golden years together in happiness. Ever since you and Margaret moved into the neighborhood at around the same time as Cathy and I we have saw how you two loved each other and shared in life's experiences. We share your sadness.
