Ira J. Yocom Jr.

Ira J. Yocom (88) of Golden passed away on January 1, 2012 at Colliers Hospice. Ira was the retired founder and owner of Yocom-McColl Testing Laboratory in Denver. Ira is survived by his wife of 62 years, Emelene McDowell Yocom, his children Michael Yocom and Deborah Yocom Rillos (Joe), his grandchildren Mera Hoeschen (Brian), Amanda Pouliot (Steve), Matthew Rillos (Brooke), Emily Conard (Joel) and Julia Yocom, and his twelve great-grandchildren (Grace Pouliot, Caleb Rillos, Noah Pouliot, Adelaide Hoeschen, Joshua Rillos, Eli Pouliot, Lillian Hoeschen, Joseph Rillos, Levi Rillos, Georgia Yocom-del Rio, Calvin Conard and Abigail Rillos). He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and member of First Presbyterian Church of Golden. A memorial service for Ira will be held on Saturday, January 7 at 1:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church of Golden, 17707 W. 16th Avenue, Golden, 80403. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Golden or Exempla Lutheran Hospice, 3210 Lutheran Parkway, Wheat Ridge, CO 80003.
