Jerry L. Magno

Jerry was born on July 8, 1946 in Denver, Colorado. He grew up in Colorado Springs in the Broadmoor Area. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the Marine Corp. He served from 1964 to 1968 in Vietnam. He served 3 tours of duty. After leaving the Marine Corp he worked at Coors Brewing Company for 3 years. He then became a Golden Police Officer and went to school for Law Enforcement. He worked for Golden for 8 years the moved to Nucla, Colorado where he was the Marshall for 4 years. He then moved to Colorado Springs and worked as security for School District 11 for 4 years. Jerry retired in the Black Hawk area in 2000. He married Jeanie Baughman on September 15, 2001. Jerry passes away peacefully at home on August 6, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife; Jeanie, step-son; Richard Smith both of Black Hawk, son Steven; of Florissant, Colorado, sisters; Ellen Sutterland of Plano, Texas and Julie Rice of Colorado Springs and brother; David of Mesquite, Texas.
