Kelly Sue Courtney

Kelly Sue Courtney was born Friday November 13, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa. She arrived in Golden Colorado with her family in 1961, where she continued to live a life to be remembered by all who loved and knew her.

As an "original" member of the Golden Girls, Kelly held that title with pride, she was a dedicated and faithful friend.

Kelly is preceded in death by her son Roy James "Jimmy" Sanders, parents Harold “Hap" and Geraldine "Jerry" Courtney, sister JoRene Moran and brother Tony Courtney. Kelly is survived by her son John Sanders (wife Leila), daughter Shanene Maddox (husband Russell), sisters Jeanice Berger (husband David), Michelle Hughes (husband Rick), brothers Hap Courtney (wife Pattie), John Courtney, Steve Courtney, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and many nieces and nephews as well as her faithful companion Tasha.

Sadly, Kelly left us on Saturday, January 17, 2015 to go home. This beautiful woman will be missed and cherished by all.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Community In Christ Lutheran Church, 12229 West 80th Avenue, Arvada 80005 at 12 Noon on Saturday January 24, 2015.
