

She was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on April 7, 1943. Kim graduated from Arvada High School, completed her undergrad at Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri and finalizing her Masters from University of Missouri.
Kim Stewart worked as a Social Worker for all of her career. She worked with delinquent teens at Sacred Heart, in Pueblo, CO, for many years. She also spent her career between Fort Logan Mental Health and Jefferson Center for Mental Health.
Kim was a member for the Peak to Peak Keeshond Fanciers, where she held the position of President. She had a passion for both delinquent teens and delinquent dogs, rescuing at risk dogs and finding their “forever” homes. She started the first group home on Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota and loved proving Christmas joy to the residents of Taos Pueblo. Kim was politically active- often to the annoyance of others.
She is survived by Joyce Monfort of Westminster, CO, Mother of the Heart; sister Judy (Tom) Dury of Conifer, CO; cousin Patty (Pete) Baker of Phoenix, AZ; nieces and nephews Heather (John), Ryan, Jon (Charla) Dury of Morrison, CO, Becky Dury of Aurora, CO, Debbie (Steve) Ward of Englewood, CO and five grand nephews.
Funeral services for C. Kim Stewart will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 11am at Olinger Woods Chapel, 1100 Washington Ave, Golden, CO 80401.
