Agnes Walker Jones

Agnes Walker Jones, native of Sorrento, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the age of 79. Agnes was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who enjoyed spending time and social gatherings with her family and friends. She had a kind heart and was always willing to care for her family and friends in anyway needed. Agnes enjoyed watching sports, especially when the Saints, LSU, and the Pelicans played. She looked forward to her visits with her daughter and granddaughter in Tennessee as well as listening to Country Music, cooking and baking. She also had a special love for her Chihuahuas, Bebop and Sugar. Agnes is survived by her daughter, Stacey Glaviana and husband, Craig; granddaughter, Megan Glaviana; nieces and nephews (weekly helpers), Emma Doulette and husband, Alex, Kathy Hearn and Charles, Garlene Villenurve and Lesa, Christine Hughes and husband, Greg; brothers-in-law, Gene Williams, Lavern “Diddy” Parent; sister-in-law, Marion Walker and numerous other family members and friends. Agnes is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Elwood Jones; parents, Emma and Ervin Walker; siblings, Violet Villenurve, Ruth Walker, Amelia Parent, Victor “Buck” Walker, Beulah Williams, William Walker, and Ervin Walker Jr. . Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 10:00 am until funeral service at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow at Oaklane Memorial Park.
