

A longtime resident of Prairieville, he died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice, Baton Rouge. He was 68. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Thursday, June 9, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Friday, June 10, from 9:30 a.m. until the Rev. Nutan Sylvester Minj celebrates a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment in Oak Lane Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife of more than 46 years, Lynn Evans Cifreo; a son, Charles Brent Cifreo; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri and Kevin Martin Sr., and Wendy and Dean Boudreaux; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Theresa Crochet, and Ada Frances and Charles Watson; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, H.J. and Shirley Cifreo, James Cifreo, and Freddie and Gwen Cifreo; eight grandchildren, Michael Wayne Cifreo, Kevin Michael Martin Jr., Korey Wesley Martin, Kaine Anthony Martin, Jade Lomas Boudreaux, Christine Marie Boudreaux, Meagan Elizabeth Boudreaux and Brittany Nicole Boudreaux; a great-grandchild, Adrianna Michelle Coleman; and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Harry and Estelle Phillips Cifreo; a sister, Judy Catherine Cifreo; nephew, Christopher Shane Cifreo; sister-in-law, Rita Cifreo; and a brother-in-law, Richard Crochet. Pallbearers will be Michael Cifreo, Kevin Martin Jr., Korey Martin, Kaine Martin, Jade Boudreaux, Brian Cifreo and David Watson. Alceé enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a graduate of Istrouma High School. Memorial donations may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in honor of his 20-plus-years battle with leukemia.
