Ann M. Waggenspack

A native of New Orleans and a resident of Gonzales, she passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at the age of 59. She attended St. Agnes Elementary and Middle School, graduated from Chappelle High in 1969 and obtained a bachelor's degree in physics, with a concentration in math education, from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1973. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Paul J. Waggenspack; and children, Scott Waggenspack and wife Teresa, Susan Marie Waggenspack and Christopher Paul Waggenspack; and her special family in New Orleans, Audrey and Leslie Meyer Cox. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Bernadine Spahn Gadel. There will be a visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Friday, Jan. 14, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home Saturday, Jan. 15, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Following, there will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Darrow at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Galea, celebrant. Interment will be in Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery, Gonzales. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
