Berlin “B.J.” Kling Jr. a resident of Geismar, La passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the age of 60. B.J. was a multifaceted craftsman with an exceptional work ethic at Coast Machinery for 41 years as a machinist/millwright. He could fix anything and solve any problem. He enjoyed working in his machine shop, crabbing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. B.J. had a heart of gold and loved sharing his blessings with those close to him. He is survived by his sister, Vicki Kling Davis, and husband John Davis Sr.; sister-in-law, Joann Kling; and nephews, John L. Davis Jr. and Joseph A. Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Berlin J. Kling Sr. and Yvonne Taillon Kling; and brother, Michael J. Kling. A visitation for B.J. will be held on Wednesday, December 27th at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, La from 5 PM till 8 PM and will resume on Thursday, December 28th at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville, La at 10 AM with Mass of Christian Burial at noon. He will be laid to rest in Hope Haven Mausoleum, Prairieville, La. Pallbearers will be John Davis Jr., Joseph Davis, Jeff Kling, Myron “Tut” Kling, Shane Kling, Chad Melancon, Dwayne Melancon, and Pete Mire. Honorary Pallbearers are John B. Coast, John Stuart Coast, Randy Kling Sr., Brett Heintze, Jay Horton, and Jody Harelson. Arrangements by Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales.
