Brenda Gail Darensbourg

Brenda Gail Darensbourg, beloved daughter, sister and friend, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the age of 54. She was a resident of Gonzales, a native of Baton Rouge, and a graduate of Redemptorist High School. She was a compassionate, outgoing and loving person who enjoyed her job at The Arc of East Ascension as a caregiver. She is survived by her father, Joseph E. Darensbourg; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorene Domingue of Baton Rouge, Amy Holbrook and Ira of Baton Rouge, Jennifer Porché and Leonard, Sr., of Scott, LA; brothers and sisters-in-law, David "Brian" Darensbourg and Jane of Baton Rouge, Jeff Darensbourg of Baton Rouge, Joe "Keith" Darensbourg and Roberta of Houston, TX, and Jason Darensbourg of Astoria, NY; step-daughters, Keriayn Leary and Brandy Roche; mother-in-law, Louise Roche; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Roché; mother, Sadie Darensbourg; father-in-law, Lionel Roché; and grandparents, Joseph, Sr. and Norma Darensbourg; and Ernest and Alma Rozier. Visitation will be at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 15208 LA Hwy 73, Prairieville, Louisiana 70769, Tuesday, April 28, 2015, beginning at 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Jerry Martin. Recitation of the rosary will be at 10:00am. Immediately following the mass, a repass will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy, Gonzales, LA 70737.
