

A native of Galvez and resident of Gonzales, he passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. He was 81 years old and a retired millwright for local #720. He was a Marine Corp veteran who served during the Korean Conflict and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Nickens Broussard, of Gonzales; two sons and daughters-in-law, Isaac Duane and Sondra Broussard, of Tylertown, MS and Brent Joseph and Runnette Broussard, of St. Amant; brother, Aubrey Joseph Broussard, of Gonzales; four grandchildren, Joy, Juli, John, and Marigny; and seven great grandchildren, Collin, Jacob, Wyatt, Sam, Maeve, Jay, and Toby.
Preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Lee and Octavia White Broussard; two sisters, Ella Creoli and Nina Dixon; and a brother, Spencer Broussard.
A visitation will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church, Gonzales on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m., conducted by Rev. Rubin Reynolds. Burial will follow in Carpenters Chapel Cemetery, Prairieville. Pallbearers will be Gerald Williams, Bill Wood, Alvin Broussard, Dan Huguet, David Broussard, and Joseph Broussard.
