

surrounded by her loving family. She was 85, a native of St. Amant, and a resident of
Gonzales. Catherine was a life-long member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant,
where she was a member of the Choir and Fair Committee for many years. She was also a
retired bus driver for the Ascension Parish School System.
Visitation will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, on March 28th at 9:00 a.m. until
Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Entombment to be in Holy Rosary cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years and love of her life, Buren Gautreau; daughter, Kim
Mincks; daughter and son-in-law Debra and Michael Johnston; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin
and Jill Clouatre Gautreau; grandchildren Shayne Minks, Jodi Minks, Keeley Peterman, Alyse
Alford, Titan Gautreau, and Terez Gautreau, and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived
by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Maxine and Linda Bourgeois and Perry and Debbie
Bourgeois, Myrtle G. Bourgeois; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Celena Gautreau, Evelyn (Pip)
and Robert Blanchard, Annette and Donald Braud, Sylvia (Tut) Lambert, Lucius Forsythe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orile and Bessie Gautreau Bourgeois, brother,
Stanley (Pluke) Bourgeois, and sister, Rita Bourgeois Forsyth.
Arrangements being handled by Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales. Pallbearers will be Shayne
Mincks, Jodi Mincks, Keeley Peterman, Alyse Alford, Titan Gautreau, Terez Gautreau, Able
Mincks, and Neil Bourgeois. The family wishes to thank caregivers (Kathleen, Monica and
Charlene), family, and friends who offered their support during her illness, including Louisiana
