Cecile "Blondie" Nola Fritz passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023 at the age of 64. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gonzales, LA. She loved to cook, cross stitch, and fish. She liked to joke and prank people. She expressed her love through gift giving. Cecile was proud of her namesake, loved her family unconditionally, and especially spending time with them. She was excited to tell everybody she was a twin. She was a member of Apostolics of Ascension for many years.
She is survived by her son "my one and only", Cleveland T. Parks Jr.; grandchildren, Kadin Castleberry, Debranna Ellis, and Taylor Rai Parks; twin sister, Cecelia Henderson (Glenn Sr.); brother, Earl T. Gros Jr.; and sister, Earlena Caldorera (Charles); “nieces I loved to pieces”, Zandrea Wilcox (Merton); great-nephew, Jude "Nolan" Henderson; and a very special friend, Richard Wilcox. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by parents, Rev. Earl T. Gros Sr. and Rev. Rhoda Savoie Gros; father, William Charles Fritz; siblings, Brenda Fritz Schexnayder, Judy Fritz Collins, Charles Fritz, Sr., Wayne Fritz, Hudson Fritz, and Earline Gros; nephew, Joseph Collins, Jr.; and niece, Lie’ren Gros.
Pallbearers will be Cleveland Parks, Troy Aydell, Kaleb Fitz, Glenn Henderson Jr., Earl Gros, Austin Gros, Wayne Perritt Jr., Zandrea Wilcox and Chris Spencer. Honorary pallbearers, Earl Gros III.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, LA 70737. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The service will begin at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park. A special thanks to her healthcare workers and to the two friends that helped take care of her while her caregiver was away, Angela Dowdy and Pamela Nelson.
