To all my sisters and brothers:  My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Sending Love to all my siblings at this time,  Barry, Tony, June, Lavender, Dana, and Debbie.  Prayers to each of your families.

On behalf of my sisters (Dana, Patty, Lavender, and June) and my brothers (Tony and Barry), I would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and nice words concerning the death of our father, Charles Allen.  Dad loved to use humor when dealing with hard situations.  He cracked a few jokes in the last days of his life.  I leave you with one of his favorite jokes you probably heard him tell . . . There was a man driving down the highway going about 55 miles per hour when this chicken with three legs began running beside him. He decided to speed up to 65 miles per hour, but the chicken stayed right beside him. So he sped up to 75 miles per hour, but still the chicken stayed with him. He came up to a fork in the road and the three-legged chicken went left and ran into a farm yard. Curious, the man decided to investigate so he pulled up to the farm and got out of his car. He noticed that the yard was full of three-legged chickens running around at high speeds. Still curious, the man went up and knocked on the door of the house and the farmer came out. The man asked the farmer, "How did you get all these three-legged chickens?" "Well," the farmer stated, "I have a family of three, and we all like the drumsticks, so I decided to engineer some chickens with three legs so everyone is happy." "How do they taste?" the man asked. "Well," the farmer said, "don't know, haven't been able to catch one yet." [It was funny when he told it but I think he used a Cajun accent.]

To Dana, Patty, Debbie and Lavender, I want to say....The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:.. The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:... The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.(Num.6:24-26)

Mrs. Winnie I am so very sorry about Mr. Chucks passing. Over 26 years we have been and still are back yard neighbors. It seems so strange to not he him sawing and hammering and that big fan roaring in the wind. It's so quite now. I am so glad that I bought one of his cypress gliders. I will think of him often when I'm sitting  still in my back yard. Mrs. Winnie I also will be praying for you and that God guide you and give you the strength that you need . Please  if there is anything I can do just let me know. God bless
