Chase you were a bright light in a dark world. Sometimes our demons are too much to fight. You were loved by so many. I am thankful I got to love you and be loved by you. My family sends their deepest condolences as you made an impact in their lives as well as changing me forever as a person. I’ll always think “what would Chase say” in situations because you would always have the most kind, compassionate, funny and realistic things to say. You made everyone’s day better. I’m a better person because of your impact in my life. I’ll miss Waffle House with you. Sitting on the back porch watching a fire burn and sharing music with one another. Talking to you was a highlight for me. You brought a healing salve to places I didn’t even think could be healed. Fly high Angel. 

I’m at lost of words!  It really upsets me knowing you were going through this and didn’t talk to me about it. You and I could talk on a personal level and we both completely understood one another. If I were to know you were in this dark place alone , I would of been by your side the entire time. You were more than just a working partner, friend. YOU WERE LIKE A BROTHER TO ME THAT IVE NEVER HAD. I will definitely miss our conversations, laughs, cutting up and just someone to lend a ear to ours problems. I Love You Brother, and will never forget about you.  I felt the same way about you that you felt about me. I know if I had a problem and needed someone to talk to all I had to do was call or text you and you would of been here. I just can’t understand why you didn’t do the same. I would of dropped what I was doing to make your dark days brighter.  However I do know the struggles you were dealing with, as I deal with the same struggles. 

I loved hearing him call me aunt Lisa. This was at RJ’s 18th birthday celebration at TJ Ribs.

Chase got off of work and wanted to help feed Aubrey her first solid. We were so excited to spoon feed her. 

Aubrey loved those kisses! They always made her smile.

So thankful for the time we had with Chase. 

Chase was one of the first friends my husband and I made in the neighborhood when we moved next door almost 4 years ago.  Garrett and Chase would spend most afternoons cracking jokes and messing around with stuff in either Chase's shop or ours.  He was always there to lend a hand. I can't tell you how many times Chase helped fix something or another on my car.  He was our trick or treat buddy every year helping hand out candy on our front porch. He and Garrett would jokingly harass the poor neighborhood kids.  Every time our kids would cut through his yard to get to another house he would tell them they owed him a dollar.   Even our dogs became best friends.  Our kids love to play with Duke when he would come to visit. Chase  was a great friend that will never be forgotten. 

Aubrey will miss you always. 10 years just wasn’t enough. She acts so much like you at times. 

My husband & I live across the street from Chase. Several months back a tree in our front yard fell & another neighbor, Garrett Fontenot & Chase came over that same day both armed with their chainsaws to cut down the broken tree. They hauled it off & burned it, had everything cleaned up so quick and I didn’t even have to ask them for help. That’s what you call good neighbors. We’re so saddened by Chase’s passing, and will have his family in our thoughts and prayers.
