Clydie Mae Murphy

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who passed away Wednesday, November 25th. She was 86, a native of Ascension Parish and a resident of French Settlement. Visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, French Settlement on Monday, November 30th from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon with the Rev. Jason Palermo and Deacon Jimmy Little celebrants. Entombment in St. Joseph Church Mausoleum. Survived by her children, Bonnie and Richard Babin, Beverly and Daniel Kling, Sandra and Marvin Watts, and Deacon Leon and Annette Murphy; grandchildren, Sherry and Chris Guillot, Michelle and Clint Tranchina, Ryan and Katie Babin, Andrea and Aaron Remont, Jeremy and Joy Kling, Amy Kernan and Jana Roussel, Heather and Hunt Lobell, Tiffany Murphy and Jason Johnson, Brittany Murphy; great grandchildren, Cale, Cade, Logan, Blake, Mia, Angelena, Carmella, Max, Aiden, Stella, Ransom, Berkleigh, Brogan, Sydney, Mary Claire, Emma, Frances, and Hance. She is also survived by brother-in-law Alvin "Bud" Broussard and sister-in-law Hazel Poche and numerous nieces and nephews, and her best friend, Leatrice Lambert. Preceded in death by her husband, Leon Roy Murphy, Sr., her parents, Joseph Demas and Theotiste Bourgeois Poche: four sisters Loretta Ruiz, Clara Mumphrey, Emelda Gaudin, and Stella Ann Broussard; and five brothers, Elephege, Whitman, Herman, Adley and Edmond Poche.
