Cyrus Norman Miller

September 11, 1946 – December 31, 2013

Cyrus Norman Miller passed away on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2013. Beloved husband of Wanda Parker Miller and father of Brandon Parker Regan; grandfather to Andrew and Sarah, son of the late Norman Cyrus Miller and the late Edith McNabb Miller and son-in-law of the late Vernon Cyril Parker and the late Joyce Krider Parker, Brother-in-law of Brenda and Paul Vallance and nephew of Joseph Harold Miller, “Uncle Junior.”

Born in Fenton, Louisiana, a long-time resident of Gretna and currently residing in Prairieville, Louisiana.

A registered pharmacist, Cyrus enjoyed a long, distinguished career holding numerous management positions with K&B Drug Stores, Wal-Mart and at the time of his death was Division Pharmacy Manager at Albertsons. Cyrus was a graduate of Fenton High School, McNeese State University, and the College of Pharmacy at Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe.

“He was always there for us with a way of making our good times even better, our sad times bearable, and our problems go away. He was a dad that I try to be.” – Brandon.

Cyrus loved tennis in his K&B years, migrating into golf and rekindled golf with his good friends at Albertsons. He was a car enthusiast with a Corvette passion. He enjoyed life and touched many lives over his lifetime making a difference in so many ways.

We will miss his understanding, kindness of heart, care giving, generosity, and friendship. Many thanks for all the kindness and support from all of our family and friends.

The visitation will be on Monday, January 6, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church from 10 o’clock a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30, celebrated by Rev.
