On the morning of July 29th, Dale Leon Miller passed away at Baton Rouge General Hospital as a result of complications from MDS. He was surrounded by those he loved. He was 75 years old. Dale was born May 3, 1939 in Buffalo Missouri to Homer and Loree Jones Miller. He was raised by his step father, Ord Dougherty. He married his first wife, Theresa Miller at the age of 18. They spent 42 happy years together. After the passing of Theresa, he married Phenie Guzzardo who he spent the next 12 years with until his death. He not only had a wife that he loved, but he loved her children as his own.
Dale retired from Rubicon Chemical as a plant operator. He later worked for JM Test as a driver and was employed there until he passed away. He was an avid woodworker and loved working with his hands. Dale is survived by his wife, Phenie Guzzardo-Miller. His daughter, Catrina and her husband Jay Bonomolo. He also loved Nancy Mars and Erica Babin as his own daughters. He is survived by his son Chad Rivere and his wife Jaclynn, as well as his stepchildren, Bryan and Suzanne Guzzardo, Cindy and Todd Morrison and Sharon and Todd Beers. He is survived by 13 grandchildren. There was a special person in his life who he thought the moon rose and the sun set, his grandson, Bryan Martinez, Jr. If Dale was having a bad day, talking to Bryan would brighten his whole day!
