Throughout all of my trials and tribulations, God was testing me and preparing me for my heavenly journey. Damon Paul McCrory, born on August 16, 1967, was taken by the Lord to rest in the palms of his hands on May 23, 2026, after a lengthy illness. He graduated from Tara High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University, after which he worked in construction management, and was co-owner of K&G Industrial Services. He was currently a member of the National Auto Parts Association and had a passion for racing his Porche. Damon was preceded in death by his father, Darwyn McCrory, his grandparents, Eugene and Eva Gautreau McCrory, Vernon and Edith LeBlanc, and Arthur and Laura Clouatre. He is survived by his children whom he loved very much, Grant McCrory (Larissa Bourgeois McCrory) and Leigh McCrory (Zachary Mellinger), and his grandson, Drew Paul McCrory, who lovingly referred to him as “Poppi”. He is also survived by his brother, Dax McCrory (Melissa), his mother, Cheryl LeBlanc, his stepmother, Monica Clouatre McCrory, and the mother of his children, Debbie McCrory. The family would like to express their special thanks to Jill Bourque Lalonde for her loving help and care during Damon’s illness, which will always be remembered. Pallbearers will be Dax McCrory, Jeff Daniel, Scott Sheets, Kirby Sternfels, Steve Andre, Keith Chustz, Connor McCrory and Hunter Daniel. Visitation will be at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, Louisiana on Monday, June 1st from 9:00 am until a mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am, celebrated by Father Huy Tran, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
