

Mrs. Dolores was born on July 16, 1944, to Johney and Leonise Frederic. She was a woman of deep faith and service, devoted to her church and community. She was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6389 Ladies Auxiliary, faithfully served on the prayer line, and was a Eucharistic Minister. Her caring spirit and willingness to serve others touched many lives.
Dolores found great joy in cooking for her family and friends and cherished spending time with her husband, Gary, especially while attending LSU baseball and football games together. Her love for family, faith, and fellowship defined her life.
She is survived by her husband, Gary J. Babin; children, Colleen Olivier (Howie), Regina Millien (Barry), Carrie Tindall (Shane), and Sandy Dufren; sisters, Elsie Moran, Eva Gonzales (Buddy), Joan Bercegeay (Jimmy), and Sonja Frederic; brother, Kenny Frederic; sister-in-law, Pauline Bercegeay; and brother-in-law, Arthur Shepheard; grandchildren, Tanya Tyson (Chad), Brittany Landry (Nate), Brooke Delasalle (Tommy), Barry Millien Jr. (Brooke), Amber Olivier (Kyle Lawson), Ryan Tindall, Hailey Tindall (Ian Raben), Alexis Kennedy (Cameron), Brock Millien, and Madison Dufren; great grandchildren, Tommy Delasalle (Lexi), Lucan Delasalle, Harley Delasalle, Paxton Millien, Lola Millien, Holden Millien, Emma Landry, Cael Tyson, Camdyn Tyson, Channing Tyson, Asher Kennedy, and Grayson Kennedy; great-great grandchild, Beau Delasalle; and numerous godchildren, nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Johney and Leonise Frederic; daughter, Anita Millien; sisters, Vernice Johnson (Kermit) and Mary Frederic; brothers, Johney Frederic Jr., Dewey Frederic (Elsie), and Dennis Frederic (Toni); sisters-in-law, Put Delatte (Ivy) and Faye Shepheard; brothers-in-law, Sylvester Moran and Andre Bercegeay; nephew, Mickey Bercegeay; and niece, Lisa Bercegeay.
Pallbearers are Barry Millien Jr., Ryan Tindall, Brock Millien, Chad Tyson, Cameron Kennedy, and Lucan Delasalle. Honorary Pallbearers will be Barry Millien Sr., Howie Olivier and Shane Tindall.
Visitation for Mrs. Babin will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 9:00 AM, with the Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM. This will be proceeded by a committal service at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
