Donald "Lil Donald" Joseph Christen Jr.

Donald Joseph Christen, Jr., fondly known as “Lil Donald” passed away on December 14, 2021, at the age of 38, surrounded by his loving family. Donald was an amazing husband, father, son, brother and friend to so many. He was the loving husband of Casey Lynn Christen and together they have three beautiful children; Kiley Marie Christen, Kaitlyn Ann Christen and Donald Joseph “DJ” Christen III and the family dog Bubba. He is also survived by his parents Peggy and Donald Christen Sr., his sibling; Stacy Cheramie Beatty (Roy), Bambi Lynn White (Alex) and Michael Joseph Christen, his grandmother Bertha Matherne and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Gilbert Matherne Sr. and Lula Mae and Roland Christen.

Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being outdoors. He was always down for hanging out with family and friends, just having a good time making everyone around him laugh. The love he has for his wife and kids was unmeasurable. They were the center of his life and he truly did anything it took to make sure they were happy and well taken care of. His dependability will surely live on through his children. He was always the person you could depend on for a helping hand no matter the task. Donald will truly be missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Lil Donald’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the St. James Boat Club, 39180 W. Airline Hwy in Gramercy, LA. The celebration will be held from 1PM till 5PM. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.oursofh.com for the Christen family.
