

Dorothy L. "Dot" Falgoust, 85, a native of New Orleans, residing in Gonzales passed away peacefully at her home at 2:06 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. She was a wonderful wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great grandmother and Aunt Dot to many. Survived by brother-in-law Herman Averette; two daughters Sylvia Quatrevingt and Rose and Russell Cavalier; four sons Jerry Jr. and Marian, Terry, Bruce and Pam, and Ed and Ellen. 12 grandchildren, Eric, Chase, and Danny Waggenspack, and Wendy Little; Hope Hebert and Jake Dawson; Kacee Villar; John, Joey, and James Cavalier and Rosanna Carter; and Angela Falgoust. 17 great-grandchildren Erica and Austin Waggenspack; Grace and Gabriella White; Angele and Alexander Little; Kayla and Karli Hebert; Brennan and Connor Dawson; Baylen Villar; Kiara Cavalier; Jaycee, Jonathan Jr., and Jaxon Carter; and 1 great-great-grandchild Addyson Guthrie. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph Octave and Marguerite Alphonsine Gaudin Lorio; husband Gerald J. Falgoust Sr.; sisters Marguerite Lorio Rivet and Charleen Lorio Averette; brother Monsignor J.O. Lorio; brother-in-law Ralph Rivet; son Brian Falgoust; grandchild Michelle Falgoust; and 1 great-grandchild Anah Little. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Thursday, March 30, beginning with recitation of the rosary at 4:45 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday, March 31 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Mass at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Gonzales, at 1 p.m. Internment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Eric, Chase, Danny, John, Joey, James, and Jake. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons-in-law Greg Hebert, Ryan Villar, Jonathan Carter Sr., and Ben Little.
