Douglas "Doug" Craig Dupre

Douglas Dupre a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Baton Rouge died on October 5, 2023 at the age of 40. Doug was a Special Forces Army Veteran. He served in the army for 10 years with 7 deployments. He loved motorcycles, jeeps, muscle cars and dogs. He also loved his family, especially his niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Gussie & Helen Ortego; paternal grandfather, Winnis Dupre; paternal grandmother, Mabris Dupre and uncle/godfather Norman Dupre. He is survived by parents, Tim & Celeste Dupre; sister, Jamie Dupre; brother, John Eric Dupre; nephews, Beau Mutrie (Jessica Froisy) & Trent Dupre; niece, Leyla Sayal; and paternal step-grandmother, Melda Dupre. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in Doug’s honor to the Code of Vets and/or the Wounded Warrior Project. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy., Gonzales, LA on Monday, October 9, 2023 from 5pm-8pm. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, LA from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
