Duane Summerville

Duane Summerville, fondly known as “PaPa” passed away at his home on December 27, 2023 at the age of 85. He was preceeded in death by his beloved wife, Elaine Jeffress Summerville, a son, Dewell David Summerville, a granddaughter, Katie Summerville, a sister, Lou Summerville & his parents, Dewell Dude Summerville & Vergie Sinclair Summerville.

He leaves behind his son, Terry Duane Summerville & his wife, Jean, a daughter, Eadie Ann Aldridge and & husband, Gregory & the youngest daughter, Angie Summerville Bourgeois. He has 8 spoiled grandchildren, Beau, Andy Paul, Richard, Michael, Jeanna, Jamie & Brooke plus 14 great-grandchildren.

He served in the Arkansas National Guard & was an active member of the Son of Confederate Veterans Association.

His passion was hunting with his kids & grandkids, fishing, camping & working in his garden. His ultimate passion was spoiling his grandbabies & great grandbabies.

He will be sorely missed by everyone whose life he touched.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales from 12-2 followed by services at 2 by Brother Paul. Burial will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery on LA 30 in Gonzales.
