

Dylan Joseph Bellard, 37, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, after losing his battle with drug addiction. Dylan was born in Baton Rouge, LA on May 15, 1979 to Charlene Colligan Bellard and Daniel Brant Bellard. He graduated from False River Academy in New Roads, LA and attended USL (now ULL) in Lafayette, La. Dylan was an electrician by trade. His favorite activities were fishing, hunting, golfing, reading, helping friends and family with electrical and other projects and having fun with his friends and family.
Dylan is survived by his mother and father, brother, Brandon Bellard and wife Joanie, grandmother, Marjorie Colligan Quinn, nieces and nephews, Brady Bellard, Jayce and Neely Ruiz and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Colligan, Max Quinn, and Maurice Bellard; his grandmother, Aline Bellard, and Uncles John Kenneth Colligan and Jim Atkisson.
Pallbearers will be, Ryan, Dickinson, Ryan Ramagos, Marty Bellard (Godfather), Baron Bellard (Godchild), Matt Bayhi, Bret Broussard, Jeremiah Atkisson , Brandon Bellard, and Ryan Dean.
Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, LA in charge of arrangements. Visitation is on Sunday, June 19, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. A visitation will also take place from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville, LA at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2016. A reception will follow at the home of Dan and Charlene Bellard at 17196 A N White Road, Prairieville, LA.
Dylan’s body will be cremated and his urn will be placed on his grandfather Colligan’s grave along side his Uncle Kenneth’s urn at a memorial Mass which will be held at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a Substance Abuse Facility of your choice in Dylan Joseph Bellard’s name would be appreciated.
