Edith Gautreau LeBlanc passed away on December 12, 2021 at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon LeBlanc Sr. and her longtime companion Thomas Jefferson Holley. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children; Cheryl LeBlanc, Darlene Landry, Nonna Berteau (Dean) and Vernon LeBlanc Jr. (Terrilyn), her grandchildren; Bobby Joe Byas, Blaine Byas, Damon McCrory, Dax McCrory, Shelton LeBlanc, Corey LeBlanc, Kattye LeBlanc and Dean Berteau Jr. and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her stepchildren; Delia Holley, Dineen Goree and Tara Tarver and seven step grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents Ida Lanoux Gautreau and Ernest Gautreau and her siblings; Elna Babin, Allen Gautreau Sr., Lydia Gautreau, Ollie Gautreau Sr., Irene McCain, Winnie Villar, Willie Gautreau and Simon Gautreau, her grandchildren; Chet Anthony Berteau and Scotty & Heidi LeBlanc and her step-children; Thomas Ronald Holley and Tommie Jo Graham.
Edith had many joys in life, but if you knew her, you knew she loved her gambling, dancing and typically with a drink in hand. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Gonzales on Friday, December 17, 2021 beginning at 9:30AM, there will be a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11AM.
