Ellarene Marie Bourgeois, age 71 and a French Settlement, LA resident, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024. She retired from Our Lady of the Lake Hospital as a registered nurse and was a St. Joseph Catholic Church member. She is survived by her sisters, Sheryl McMorris, and Winona Watts (Robby); grandchildren, Justin Aydell, Kayla Aydell, and Brittany Perret and several great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Ignace and Rosalie Laiche; her son, Duane Anthony Aydell; siblings, Chris Laiche, Wanda Morris, Bryan Laiche, and Ricky Laiche and 2 nephews, Daniel McMorris, and Robby Watts. Services for Ellarene will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church 15710 LA-16, French Settlement, LA on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 9:30 am until mass of christian burial at 11 am.
