Emerson Kate Bowie

Emerson Kate Bowie, just seven days old, passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving family on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Though her time here was brief, Emerson's presence brought an immeasurable depth of love and joy to all who awaited her arrival. She was a precious gift and will forever be cherished by her family. Emerson is lovingly survived by her mommy, Kelsey Edler, and daddy, Christopher Bowie; her devoted grandparents, Maw Maw Leigha and Paw Paw Josh Edler, Maw Maw Samantha Melton, Paw Paw Bobby Bowie, and Paw Paw Michael Martin; and her great-grandparents, Ted and Kathy Edler, Jerry and Paula Edwards, John and Angela Campbell, Hardy and Melissa Mallet, and Anne Bowie. She is also survived by her aunt Kynlie Edler, aunt Khloe Martin and her uncle Brennan Edler; as well as numerous great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins, all of whom held deep hopes and dreams for her future. Emerson was welcomed into Heaven by her great-grandparents, Ervin and Mary Ann Martin, who preceded her in death. Services to celebrate Emerson’s life will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Colyell Baptist Church, 19524 LA Hwy 42, Livingston, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Emerson will be laid to rest in Colyell Community Cemetery. Though Emerson’s life was brief, her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her. Rest gently, sweet Emerson Kate. You were—and always will be—our perfect girl.
