Faye Berteau

Faye Marchand Berteau passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, at the age of 95. A native of Duplessis, Louisiana, and a longtime resident of Gonzales, Louisiana, Faye was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was a faithful and sweet servant of the Lord and blessed many with her kind soul.

She is survived by her son, Jeff Berteau (Sherian); her daughters, Suzanne Berteau and Charla Hall (Doug); son-in-law, Chris; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence Joseph Berteau; her son, David Paul Berteau; her daughter, Annette Berteau Dupre; her mother, Elphie Blouin Marchand; her father, Herbert Marchand and her sister, Maxine Glaze.

Family and friends are invited to attend a gathering on Saturday, February 28th, 2026, from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at Household of Faith on Airline Hwy, followed by a Celebration of Life Service officiated by Pastor Scott Bledsoe. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery on Highway 30. The family also invites everyone to a reception at Ourso Funeral Home following the committal service.

The family extends special thanks to the loving staff at The Parc in Gonzales, where Faye resided, and to Pinnacle Long Term Hospice for their compassionate care.
