
A native of Hawaii and resident of Gonzales, Faye A. Moore passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at 2:50 p.m. at the age of 76. She graduated from Oxnard High in California in 1957 and was a member of the school tennis team. She loved swimming and sharing her crafting talents with others. She was a volunteer at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and was a greeter at Healing Place Church in Baton Rouge. She belonged to a bowling club and won many tournaments with USBC. She loved traveling back to Hilo, Hawaii to visit her family and traveled to many other states with her companion, Bruce Tinsley. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa “Terry” and Darryl Gaines, Donnie Faye and Carroll Kling; a son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Cindy Moore; a sister and brother-in-law, Maryjane and Mike Amaral; brothers, Donald Chong and wife Adrienne, Bobby Chong, Wayne Chong; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in her husband, Tommy Moore. There will be a visitation at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home Friday, August 15, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until services at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery in St. Amant.
