

A native of New Orleans and resident of Gonzales, he died Monday, March 8, 2010, at age 73. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He served 27 years for the New Orleans Fire Department and nine years for the New Orleans Lakefront Airport. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Irene Lillian Lauman LaCombe; a daughter, Kelly Ann LaCombe and her fiancé, Nick Milano; three sons, Forest LaCombe III, William LaCombe and wife Denise, and Adam LaCombe and wife Paula; two sisters, Patricia Gilbert and Linda Lusignan; a brother, Glen LaCombe and wife Janet; mother-in-law, Norita Henly Lauman; brother-in-law, Clinton E. and wife Mina Lauman; sisters-in-law, Rita Lohman and husband Clifford, and Carol Phillips; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Billiot, Carrie Bonvillian, Mark Bonvillian, Kevin Huff, Alix LaCombe, Lacey Hamilton, Nicholis Milano and Lexi Milano; and seven great-grandchildren, Felicity, Lillian, and Cleore Billiot, Emma Bonney, Ethan Bonvillian, Jayden Watts, and Madison Bonvillian. Preceded in death by his parents, Forest Joseph Sr. and Claire Wattigney LaCombe; granddaughter, Abby Layne LaCombe; father-in-law, Clinton A. Lauman; and brother-in-law, Sidney Lusignan. Visitation will be at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, on Friday, March 12, from 10 a.m. until service at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Hope Haven Mausoleum on La. 30.
