

Frank P. Trahan Sr., 81, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. A native of Youngsville and a resident of Gonzales for 43 years, Frank passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at his home with family. He was a retired employee of Freeport McMoran. Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Marcelline Hebert Trahan; a son, Frank P. Trahan Jr. and wife Nina; six daughters, Marsha Jarrell and husband Mark, Danette Trahan, Renda Daughdrill, Yonn Dean, Jana Carrier, and Tanya Savoy and husband Mike; 17 grandchildren, Briget Jarrell, Nathan Jarrell, Kevin Trahan Jr., Jason Trahan, Ryan Trahan, Daniel McMurray, Thomas McMurray, Sarah Burch, Joshua Daughdrill, Rebecca Wallace, Alicia Tabony, Allyson Burch, Yvette Dean, Sidney Carrier, Brock Carrier, Brooke Savoy and Devin Savoy; six great-grandchildren, Taya Trahan, Kevin Trahan III, Colt Trahan, Alex Tabony, Alyssa Tabony and Bryce Burch; sister, Mary Lou Trahan; and two sisters-in-law, Verlie Trahan and Una Trahan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Exal and Marie Langlinais Trahan; three brothers, Lee R. Trahan, Louis R. Trahan and Lawrence Trahan and wife Ena; son, Kevin J Trahan Sr.; and granddaughter, Heather L. Trahan. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Saturday, June 4, from 11 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., officiated by Pastor Albert Pendarvis. Interment at Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel McMurray, Kevin Trahan Jr., Thomas McMurray, Jason Trahan, Joshua Daughdrill, Nathan Jarrell, Ryan Trahan and Sidney Carrier.
