Gerhard Scholz

Gerhard (Jerry) W M Scholz, 93, passed away on March 21, 2021. He was born on February 17, 1928 and is a native of Germany and a resident of Gonzales, LA. Jerry was a retired boilermaker who enjoyed painting, gardening and travel; a kind man with a great sense of humor. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Rita L Scholz; a son, Ulrich A. Scholz of Atlanta, GA; a brother Franz Scholz; a sister Rita Kern; and numerous family members residing in Germany; and stepchildren Al Roussel (Ginger), Ted Roussel (Lisa), and Sharla Roussel (Paul Malphurs) and their families. Friends and family are invited to attend Mass Celebration Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Theresa of Avila located at 1022 North Burnside, Gonzales, LA. followed by a celebration of Life at the home of Rita and Jerry located at 1138 E. Angela, Gonzales, LA. Covid precautions are to be followed. Special thanks to the staff of Eagle Wings Care, Azalea Estates and Hearts of Hospice for their loving care and support.
