Grace Humphrey Pertuis

A native and lifelong resident of Sorrento, she passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at age 90. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Nita and Wilson Longanecker, Dianne and Martin Templet; son, Collins J. Jr. and Janice Pertuis; 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and numerous loving nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Collins Joseph Pertuis Sr.; daughter, Joycelyn Fay Pertuis; parents, Louis Sr. and Archange LeBlanc Humphrey; four sisters, four brothers; son-in-law, Wilbur E. Swindell Sr.; and mother-in-law, Ophelia Pertuis. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Sunday, April 24, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation at St. Anne Catholic Church, Sorrento, Monday, April 25, from 8 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Michael Galea, celebrant. Entombment in Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery, St. Amant. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
