Janice "Jan" Brignac Templet

Janice Brignac Templet, known to all as “Jan,” was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, talented seamstress, antique collector, avid gardener, animal lover, and friend to many. At the heart of Jan's life was her marriage to her beloved husband, Terry P. Templet. For 61 years, their marriage stood as a true testament to faith, commitment, and unconditional love. Together, they built a life grounded in devotion to God and family, weathering life's joys and hardships side by side. Their love, patience, and mutual respect were an inspiration to all who knew them and served as a beautiful example of a Christ-centered marriage.

Jan passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 12:44 am at her home in Saint Amant. She was 81 years old and a lifelong resident of Saint Amant. She is survived by her husband, Terry P. Templet; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tara and Darren Magliolo, Shea and Chad Despino; one son and daughter-in-law, Bart and Stephanie Templet-all of Saint Amant. Two sisters, Darleen Brignac and Andrea Warthen; one brother and one sister-in-law, Kyle and Pam Brignac; seven grandchildren, Trey Templet, Dane Morin, Dillon Morin, Kirsten Despino Cardinale, Chanler Templet, Kade Despino and Kasen Despino; fourteen great grandchildren, Karsyn and Carter Templet, Ali Wright, Tyson, Mylee, Baylee and Jolee Morin, Easten and Callyn Morin, Maddox, Paxton and Jaxon Cardinale, Landry Templet and Gabrielle Mazzei. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lula Bell Brignac and her brother Ernie Paul Brignac.

Services will be held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Friday, January 30, 2026. Visitation will be from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. She will then be brought to her final resting place at Sacred Heart Chapel Lake Cemetery, Saint Amant. Pallbearers will be her six grandsons.
