July 23, 1933 – June 13, 2025
Jimmie E Stafford, age 91, of Walker, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Jimmie lived a life rich in love, laughter, and loyalty. Born and raised in Walker, Louisiana, he was a true Southern gentleman—handsome, with striking baby blue eyes and a charm that could win over anyone. Fiercely protective of those he loved, Jimmie was known for his quick wit, strong hands, and even stronger heart.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Billie Jo Stafford, his daughters Jimmie Lee Stafford Ebeling and Eve Stafford Wooley, his parents, and four siblings. Though his heart carried the weight of loss, he continued to pour love into the lives of those around him.
Jimmie is survived by his daughter, Vickie Stafford Keller (Karl) and his blended family children, Ricky Vincent (Donna), Linda Jo Bosarge, Bill Vincent, Brad Vincent and a proud legacy of grandchildren: Joey Van Metre, Allison Acosta, Aimee Trotti, Adrienne Voytas, Lacey DuBois, Alaina Simoneaux, Amalia Greer, Deanna Richmond, Kacey Huang, and Kelsey Wooley and adopted granddaughter, Kristian Hutchinson. Lots of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. His family was his pride and joy.
A man of many passions, Jimmie found peace in woodworking, joy in gardening, and a sense of freedom in traveling the country with his bride. An avid fisherman and die-hard LSU fan, he never missed a chance to tell a good story or cheer on the Tigers.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at The Church at St. Amant – Timothy Building. The wake will begin at 9:00 AM, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Hope Haven Cemetery. He will be carried to his final resting place by his great grandsons, Devon Richardson, Dawson Richardson, William Rhys, Julian Simoneaux, Jonathan Simoneaux and Corey Greer.
Jimmie Stafford will be remembered for his unwavering love, gentle strength, and the countless lives he touched. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A special thanks to Heart of Hospice including his Nurse, Serita, CNA, Wanda and sitters, Roxanne and Rocky.
