Jimmy Don Easterwood Jr.

Jimmy Don Easterwood Jr., passed away peacefully at his residence in Prairieville, Louisiana on Monday, January 9, 2023. He was born in Lake Providence, Louisiana and later moved, with his mother, to Baton Rouge. Jim attended Sacred Heart elementary and graduated from Gables Academy. Jim worked for International Tree Company and later purchased the business and was the owner at the time of his death. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid deer hunter. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing with his mother and step-father and traveled to Nebraska every year to deer hunt with his father and stepmother. Jim never met a stranger, was an excellent cook, and loved to have friends and family come to his home for his crawfish boils. He is survived by mother, Sally Achee and step-father, Gerald Achee of Prairieville, Louisiana and by his father, Jimmy Don Easterwood Sr. and his step-mother, Peggy Easterwood of Dawson, Nebraska; brother, Jarrad Easterwood; sister, Jennifer Easterwood; step-brother, Josh Dunlap; step-sisters, Stephanie Schmit, Christina Dettmann, Sheila Achee and Wendy Welch; and many nieces, nephews, and friends that he counted as family. He was preceded in death by his Aunts, Nancy Kraft and Sharon White; and Uncles Dean White, Larry White, Joel Easterwood and Bobby Easterwood. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation, which will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy., Gonzales, LA on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 2:00PM-4:00PM.
