Joan Cappel, a native of Plaucheville, LA and resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 at the age of 89. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy C. DiMaio and Peggy C. Muradas and husband Rafael; son, Jack Ernest Cappel and wife, Donna; grandchildren, Jane DiMaio Lukovics and husband, Ronald Sr., Paul DiMaio Jr., Ashley Cappel, Jaques A. Cappel; great grandchildren, Ronald Lukovics Jr., Courtney Lukovics, and Collin DiMaio; sister, Iris Plauche DeCuir; brother, Fulton Plauche and wife, Bonnie. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest James Cappel; parents, Fulton and Zoe Gremillion Plauche; 2 sisters; 1 brother. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church Cemetery in Plaucheville, LA.
