Joseph Fellman “Dee Dee” Broussard, Sr. passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in Prairievillle at the age of 74. Dee Dee was a retired boiler/mechanic with GATX/Reinjes and Kinder Morgan. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Homes in Gonzales on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 6PM – 9PM. Visitation will continue on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 8:30AM until service at 10:30AM also at Ourso Funeral Home. Dee Dee is survived by his wife, Brenda Jones Broussard of Prairieville; 2 daughters, Robin and Mike Brooks of Baton Rouge, Paula Jeansonne of Cutoff; 2 sons, Joey Broussard, Jr. and Shirley of Prairieville, Mike Broussard and Kim of Prairieville; 2 stepsons Lee Blount of Port Allen and Shannon and Tanya Blount of Prairieville; 4 sisters Grace Broussard of Prairieville, Sylvia Behre of North Carolina; Tootsie Carnahan of Prairieville and Lisa Gautreau of Baton Rouge; 5 brothers and their spouses Van and Carol Broussard of Gonzales, Arthur and Helen Broussard of French Settlement; Chookie and Peggy Broussard of Denham Springs; Ernie and Phyllis Broussard of Prairieville and Henry Broussard of Prairieville. Grandchildren: Andy Babin, Fallynne Flose, Joshua, Jeremy and Kelsey Broussard, Hannah, Sarah, Dinah and Adah Blount, Brandon and Michael Blount and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by first spouse Lutretia Ficklin Broussard, parents Van “Bud” Broussard and Hazel Babin Broussard, brothers Paul Broussard and B. B. Broussard.
