

Nolan, age 90, passed away peacefully at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice on July 10, 2025. He was the retired owner of Nolan’s Hangout in Maurepas, LA, where he was known for his love of cooking – especially on Thursday nights, preparing meals for customers who became lifelong friends. After retiring, Nolan continued sharing his passion for food by cooking at home, welcoming friends into his kitchen. What began as casual meals evolved into cherished morning coffee gatherings, a tradition that brought joy to his days. Nolan also had a deep love for gardening. He proudly tended his vegetable patch, fondly referring to it as the “community garden,” where he spent many peaceful hours nurturing the land he loved. He is survived by two daughters, Donna Bordelon (Jerry) and Lisa Robbins (Milton), two sons, Randy Delatte (DeeDee) and Rocky Delatte (Cheryl) and one daughter-in-law, Jaynelle Delatte. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Angie Leader, Crystal Randolph, Stephen, Brad, Beau and Meagan Delatte, Ashley Punch, Rohn, Devin and Marissa Bordelon, Ryan Brown, Haylie Singleton, Alaina and Natalie Robbins, Haley Edwards and Mallory Littell; 28 great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild; sibling, Emelda Fontenot; sisters-in-law Lois, Dianna and MiMi Delatte; and brother-in-law, Stanley Balfantz. Preceding him in death were his son, Kevin Delatte, parents, Arthur and Esther Brown Delatte, his brothers, Delton, David and Gilbert Delatte, his sister, Bitsy Balfantz; and brother-in-law, Noblisse Fontenot. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 22502 LA-22, Maurepas, LA 70449 on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 9:00AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00PM, conducted by Fr. Huy Tran and Deacon Jimmy Little. He will be laid to rest in Whitehall Cemetery following Mass. Serving as pallbearers will be, Rohn Bordelon, BJ Leader, Stephen, Brad, Beau and Ticky Delatte. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of The Crossing at Clarity Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion they provided.
