Juan Antonio Martinez, Sr.

Funeral services will be held for Juan Antonio Martinez, Sr. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, 10:00 am, at Ourso Funeral Home. Visitation will take place Tuesday evening from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Wednesday from 8:00 am until services start at 10:00 am. Mr. Martinez passed away on September 9, 2018. He was 81 years old. Mr. Martinez enjoyed gardening, farming, carpentry work, westerns and spending time with his beloved family. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his wife, Dora Alaniz Martinez; daughters, Ivone S. Martinez, Leonida Hoover, Maria Nottingham; sons, Juan A. Martinez, Jr., Jose N. M. Oliver, Gilbert Martinez, Ulises Martinez, and grandchildren, Gerald C. Sparacino III, Isabella T. Sparacino, Luis A. Isla, Joshua Stears, Amber Stears, Kristaun Rogers, Roman Nottingham and Ramsey Nottingham. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugenio Martinez, Trinidad Martinez and sister, Maria Ramos. Pallbearers will be Juan Martinez, Jose M. Oliver, Gilbert Martinez, August Oliver, Joshua Stears and Gerald Sparacino, III. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Our Lady of the Lake, ICU Dept, 5th floor, new tower for all the care and kindness they provided. Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales is in charge of arrangements.
