

Lawrence Joseph LeBlanc born December 10, 1930 was a native of Rio, LA and a resident of Gonzales, LA died peacefully at Oschner Hospital on November 28, 2015 in Baton Rouge, LA at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Rita Rouillier LeBlanc, son Larry W. LeBlanc and wife Amy, Gonzales, LA., daughters Yvonne LeBlanc Templet and husband Carey, Gonzales, LA and Sondra LeBlanc Harris and husband Frank, Gonzales, LA. He is preceded in death by parents Edwin and Rita Morgan LeBlanc Babin, sister Victoria Nichols. Daughter Patti LeBlanc Braud and grandsons Dustin and Brady Jackson. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Evelyn Rouillier Sanchez. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is a veteran of United States Marine Corps serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a Past Grand Knight of the St. Theresa of Avila Council #2657 and a Fourth Degree Knight. He was also the caretaker of the St. Theresa Cornerview Cemetery for 35 years. He retired from Gillis W Long Hansen’s Disease Center in Carville, LA. with over 35 years of service, where he was the Warehouse Supervisor. He loved the outdoors, traveling and camping with his wife and family. He also, along with his wife enjoyed square dancing. The funeral is scheduled for Thursday, December 3, 2015 at St. Theresa of Avila Church, viewing from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. followed by a Christian mass Father Phil Spano and Father Eric Gyan officiating along with Deacon Thomas Labot. Burial will follow at the Cornerview Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
