Leniah Temprence Payne

In Loving Memory of Leniah Payne with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Leniah Payne, who left us on Thursday, December 30, 2024 at the tender age of 12. Her life, though short, was filled with immense love and positivity that touched everyone around her. Born on June 6, 2012, Leniah was a shining light in our lives. She was known for her radiant smile, kind heart, and an unwavering positive spirit. She loved fishing, exploring outdoors, dancing, sunsets and making those around her smile. Her infectious laughter brought joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Leniah is survived by parents Elizabeth Babin and Jonathan Rice, sisters Rondasya James, Le’Miracle Payne and Legacie Payne-Stoyer; grandparents, Faye and Andrew Daniels; aunt Tammy Scott and uncle Joseph Babin, and an extended family who will forever hold her in their hearts. Her memory will continue to inspire us to live with the same love and positivity that she embodied every day. She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Payne Jr.; grandmother, Carla Manning; grandfather, Gerald Joseph Babin Jr; and sister Angel Babin. A celebration of Leniahs life will be held on January 18, 2025 at Ourso Funeral Home from 12 pm - 4 pm, where we will gather to honor and remember the beautiful soul who brought so much joy into our lives. The family asks that anyone who attends wear red, black and gold to honor her with her favorite colors.
