Leona Marie Fossier Hodges

Leona Marie Fossier Hodges, 81, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017. She was a native of Reserve, LA and a resident of Prairieville, LA. Leona was a retired bookkeeper from Sears and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville. She is survived by 3 daughters Mary Hodges, Annette Phillips and Julie Hodges; son-in-law Randy Guidry; 2 sisters Diane Webber and Glenda Paddie; 1 brother Freddie Fossier; 8 grandchildren Brandie Leona Hodges, David “Jeremy” Kyle Hodges, Nicholas Phillips; Skylar Phillips, Bailey Phillips, Austin Michael Guidry, Evan Chase Guidry and Blake Matthew Guidry; 7 great-grandchildren Taia Hodges, Jacob Hodges Simmons, Christian Hoover, Leah Hoover, Loucious Hodges, Loki Hodges and Burklee’ Phillips. Preceded in death by husband Samuel Gray Hodges; parents Freddie and Marjorie Oubre Fossier; daughter Brambler “Bambi” Hodges Guidry; sisters Judy Bergeron and Margie Reno; brother Ronald Fossier and grandchild Magan Bryant. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church from 8:30AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM, celebrant Rev. Jerry Martin. Entombment will follow during a 2PM graveside service at Sandhill Cemetery in Independence.
